StoriYa needs your support.
Hello! I am a free Ukrainian educational online platform whose mission is to tell fascinating stories. Now it's time to tell you mine. It has been more than two years now that millions of Ukrainians have lost their homes and are continuously forced to leave their towns and cities due to the Russian large-scale war against Ukraine. While leaving, families mostly take with them one single suitcase or backpack. When they arrive at their new places, what they lack most are the books in Ukrainian. My team decided to create colorful, engaging stories to inspire children and teenagers to read, explore themselves and Ukraine, and help teachers, wherever they teach now, prepare easy and innovative lessons engaging children in comprehensive reading.
And people believed in me. UN Women in Ukraine and the Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund supported my first steps.
Ukrainian educators, writers, scientists, artists, and grassroots leaders united around this dream. We have created over 190 unique stories that help children discover themselves and learn about our origins, illustrious history, heroic figures, traditions, and the world around them.
Weekly new stories appear on my platform for children of all ages, as well as lesson ideas, educational tasks, and inspiring tips you can download and print. I also want Ukrainian schools and libraries, especially those near the frontline and deoccupied territories, to have more Ukrainian books. That's why I've printed my stories and sent over 1,100 books to 32 schools in the Kharkiv region and 20 libraries in the Lviv region—and I continue to do so!
What's my mission?
I aim to keep creating stories accessible to children in every corner of Ukraine and the world, motivating them to read, learn, and grow knowledgeable with a proactive life stance.
How much money do I need?
By the end of 2024, I plan to raise 100,000 UAH to create and publish new stories and educational materials for Ukrainian students. 20% of the funds raised will be used to print books for schools and libraries affected by Russian aggression in Ukraine or in hard-to-reach frontline areas or deoccupied territories. The more funds we have, the more stories and educational materials we will create together and make available for free to everyone!
